Link Building that really works

Link building is an SEO exercise which has been likened to collecting currency online. The number of inbound links a website manages to achieve will reflect on its page ranking on search engines.   Search engines use spiders that crawl into webpages to track down links and discover how well pages relate with each other and in what ways.

What is Organic Link Building?

An organic link is the link placed on another website, blog or social account without being asked to. These links are placed by the other website purely for reference of the authentic content which the owners feel is worth sharing with readers and/or followers. Google assigns page rank values to the content published online based on the artificial and natural links built, where natural links are organic links and artificial inorganic.

Some Vital Stats

A study of the source of website visit shows that 47% of the visits were from organic links while only 6% paid links were effective. Google’s Matt Cutt says that buying paid links manipulates the search engine unduly, and is hence penalized. However, advertising links for selling merchandise is viewed as advertising for sales and is not frowned upon. Paying for links to give information is different from paying for links to build page rank.

How does the Link get marketed?

Primarily, links get marketed via blogs, articles and social media marketing. SEO specialists and content marketing experts will post the relevant articles or blogs in other websites and insert backlinks to their own website. Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter etc. are used to post links with important information on the company’s home page which is then marketed. Often SEO link builders post comments on forums or discussions and even for other relevant articles for back linking.

Guaranteed SEO services manually promote the website links through the process mentioned above by spreading the websites process on the internet. Of course, it is essential to ensure that the backlink provided is relevant or there is a chance of being penalized.
